May 09, 2014 06:44 PM EDT

The 2014 NFL draft got started up on Thursday and now Day 2 is live on TV from ESPN for the second and third rounds and coverage is on the WatchESPN website and on NFL.com and comes before Rounds 4 through 7 on Saturday and that coverage comes at 12 pm noon, while the Friday set will be at 7 pm ET from Radio City Music Hall in NYC and there are still plenty of big names left on the board.

The draft had plenty of drama on the first day and now that Johnny Manziel is off the board and with the Cleveland Browns, the rest of the QBs could end up going in the first couple picks on Friday night. The Texans are still in need of a quarterback and they have some interesting directions they could go, as Derek Carr, Jimmy Garoppolo and AJ McCarron are all there for the taking. The wide receiver position is very deep and so is tight end and running back and that makes the second round very talented this year after the draft last season was not as deep as this class is.

The Texans went with Jadeveon Clowney at number one and that was a very smart move and now they are looking to add more on offense and they could go with a running back as well in the second round or the third round. Greg Robinson was the safe pick for the Rams and the first shocker but not surprise was Blake Bortles to the Jaguars and after that Sammy Watkins went to the Bills and they traded up with the Browns and that was a huge splash. The team then went and picked Manziel after trading with the Bills and in the top 10 after that Khalil Mack went to the Oakland Raiders.

The Vikings and Browns traded picks after the Bills move and the team did that to select Justin Gilbert and then they later went after Manziel, although may though that pick was going to be Johnny. The Vikings made the first big reach with Anthony Barr and that allowed the Lions to snag Eric Ebron and the Titans to take Taylor Lewan. The Giants had their pick of players they wanted and they went with Odell Beckham Jr. and that pick could end up being amazing for the team. The Giants don't usually make splashes, but they feel that Beckham can be an explosive force with Eli Manning.

The Bills made a big trade and then they made another, as the 49ers traded them a pick for Stevie Johnson and that adds needs for both teams. The Bills now have Watkins and the Niners added Johnson and that makes them an even deadlier team on offense and gives another weapon to a need position for the Niners and Colin Kaepernick. The second and third rounds should be more great stuff for the NFL draft.
