Washington Redskins Rumors: RG3 Starter For Jay Gruden Has Kirk Cousins Trade Option? Kevin White Draft Target With Vic Beasley

The Washington Redskins have RG3 as the starter coming into the offseason program and if the team takes Marcus Mariota in the draft, they could look at a trade with Kirk Cousins, but if that doesn't happen, the team may target players like Kevin White, Dante Fowler, Vic Beasley or DeVante Parker to join Robert Griffin III and Jay Gruden in DC.

The Redskins are coming into the offseason after another last place finish in the NFC East and they are looking to turn things around. Gruden is coming into year two and the team hired Scot McCloughan to run the team as general manager. McCloughan has a strong draft record after being with the 49ers and now he will try and make an impact with the Redskins. According to Pro Football Talk, some mock draft options that experts have picked for the team include Kevin White, Dante Fowler, Vic Beasley and Marcus Mariota.

John Clayton at ESPN.com reported that the team was interested in Mariota, but that could be fading as the draft gets closer. While Mariota could slip into the fifth pick, most predictions have him going over the first two picks, with either the Titans taking him or another team trading in. After trading up for RG3 just a few years ago, the team is unlikely to make another big move. The team could consider Mariota at five, but Charles Robinson at Yahoo writes that any interest is likely about drumming up "trade interest" in the pick.

Gruden has said that Griffin will be the starter coming into the offseason workout program and this comes after the team brought back Colt McCoy on a deal. If McCloughan looks art Mariota or takes Bryce Petty in the draft, there is a chance that Kirk Cousins could be traded. The Browns showed interest in Cousins last year ahead of the NFL draft and he could be a target once again as the draft gets closer.

Kevin White has come up as a target for the Redskins, as most draft predictions have Amari Cooper off the board by the time the team picks. Cooper could be a pick for the Jaguars or Raiders and that could leave White as an option for Washington. White put up a strong 40-yard dash time at his workout and he comes in after having 109 catches for over 1000 yards and 10 touchdowns for West Virginia.
