Dallas Cowboys News: Jeremy Mincey Back for Sunday Night Showdown Against Saints

Oct 03, 2015 09:22 AM EDT

The Cowboys get one of their biggest pieces on defense back on defense as they try to stay afloat in the tumultuous NFC East. Mincey is coming back from a concussion he suffered in practice.

The Cowboys are in dire need of defensive help as they are currently without Rolando McClain (suspension), Randy Gregory (ankle injury), and Greg Hardy (suspension). The Cowboys offense cannot carry the load now that Tony Romo and Dez Bryant are both injured for the next couple of games. The Cowboys will now have one of their most productive defensive pieces back on the field for a matchup against a week New Orleans offensive line.

The Cowboys will be facing a Saints team that has struggled to be productive on both sides of the ball. Having an extra pass rusher back in addition to adding Kansas City defensive tackle David Irving should add some depth to the defensive side of the ball. The Cowboys absolutely need to produce a pass rush against this Drew Brees and the Saints offense. Brees should have some trouble throwing the deep ball as well as being as accurate as he has been in the past thanks to his shoulder injury.

The Saints offensive line will need to play their best football of the season in order keep Brees safe from aggravating his injury.
