Nov 30, 2015 11:37 AM EST

Jacksonville Jaguars star wide receiver Allen Hurns suffered a scary looking injury during Sunday's string of games. Hurns got hurt when he dove for a deep ball and got kneed in the center of his back. Hurns head also hit the turf as he came down which was the impact that likely gave him the concussion. Hurns was on the field for several minutes laying completely motionless.

A stretcher was brought out to take Hurns to a local hospital. The wide receiver gave a thumbs up as he was carted off of the field.

Hurns has been an integral part of this Jacksonville offense that has led them into playoff contention. Hurns had a streak of 7 games where he recorded a touchdown in each one proving to be a valuable fantasy football asset to anyone who paid close attention to the Jaguars. Hurns injury is apparently a concussion however he is already out of the hospital.

Hurns may have escaped from suffering a serious spinal injury however his abdominal and foot injuries have hindered him somewhat this season. Hurns was set to have surgery on a sports hernia towards the end of the season. If Hurns could return from the NFL's concussion protocol quickly he may be available for week 13.
