Fantasy Football Year End Review: Quarterback, Russell Wilson, Blake Bortles, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Carson Palmer

Cam Newton (Carolina Panthers): Cam Newton is easily the MVP of the 2015 NFL season. The playmaking ability he possesses is second to none and has been just as valuable as a running back as any other back on the Panthers roster. Newton has played two positions all season long (quarterback, running back) but he has played them extremely well. Newton finished the season completing 296 passing attempts out of 496. He gained 3,837 yards through the air and racked up 35 touchdowns. Newton only had 10 interceptions on the season but saw 132 rushing attempts. He gained 636 yards on the ground and ran in 10 touchdowns.

Tom Brady (New England Patriots): Brady is a close second however his fantasy value took a hit considering his wide receiving corps was barely healthy and he cannot exactly run like Cam Newton. Brady completed 402 out of 624 passing attempts and gained 4,770 yards through the air. Brady threw 36 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions in the 2015 season. Brady would end up with 34 rushing attempts that gained only 53 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Russell Wilson (Seattle Seahawks): Wilson came on towards the final month of the regular season and played absolutely lights out football. Wilson saw his production increase tremendously as Marshawn Lynch and Thomas Rawls went down with injuries. Wilson took it upon himself to be the offensive fire starter as he destroyed DBs all over the NFL. Wilson finished the regular season completing 329 out of 483 passing attempts while also throwing for 4,024 yards. Wilson threw 34 touchdowns and only 8 interceptions. He had 103 rushing attempts that gained 553 yards and 1 touchdown.

Blake Bortles (Jacksonville Jaguars): Bortles had an outstanding season and truly his place here with names like Newton and Brady help solidify that he is developing extremely fast at quarterback especially with a perennial bottom feeding team such as the Jaguars. Bortles saw two of his wide receivers have the best years of their young careers as Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns both played like top 10 wide receivers in the NFL. Bortles completed 355 out of 606 passing attempts for 4,428 yards. He would also throw 35 passing touchdowns compared to his 18 interceptions. Bortles would only have 52 rushing attempts that gained 310 yards and only 2 touchdowns.

Carson Palmer (Arizona Cardinals): Palmer rounds out the top 5 as the Cardinals had an incredible season throwing the ball. Palmer completed 342 out of his 538 passing attempts. Palmer gained 4,671 yards through the air and racked up 35 touchdowns with only 11 interceptions. Palmer had 25 rushing attempts for 24 yards and a touchdown.
