Los Angeles Rams Looking To Make A Play In Free Agency?

The Los Angeles Rams just recently created more than $24 million in cap space as they purge their roster of ineffective and costly players. The Rams could be creating some cap space to lure several of the top free agents in the NFL to their new home in Los Angeles. The team is looking to overhaul several positions on their roster, and they may begin with quarterback.

With Brock Osweiler expected to command a ton of money if he hits the open market, the Rams might be betting on bringing a free agent quarterback in during free agency which would allow the team to draft the best possible player available. The Rams could easily find themselves in a position to take Laquon Treadwell or Hunter Henry to add some offensive firepower to this passing attack. With the 15th pick the Rams could also be in a spot to take the best running back in the 2016 NFL Draft as well in Ezekiel Elliott. The Rams could want some insurance in the ground game and having Elliott back up a man who could be considered to be the best running back going into 2016, Todd Gurley.

Without a main target in the passing game or even a solid option at quarterback, the Rams may double down on the running attack, and having two high-caliber running backs could be a dynamic answer to their issues in the passing game. The Rams could obviously use help on the offensive line and could potentially add to their already impressive pieces in their defensive backfield. The Rams could go in a million different directions with the 15th overall pick and truly are looking for a player who can help this team right away.
