Lil Wayne hits the news again. Last week was for supposedly cutting his hair and now the pop star is being sued after a photographer attempting to snap pictures of Weezy was smacked over the head with a skateboard. 

The surprising thing to many who witnessed the scene is the fact that the man, Alfredo Marino, chose to take this to court months after it occurred. The incident took place on May 3, 2012. Nine months later, Marino decides to take action.

In reality, he doesn't even know who hit him over the head with the board and his details are a bit spacey. Regardless, Marino went ahead and took legal action against Lil Wayne.

He doesn't know "intentionally struck [him] on the back of his head." Wayne was with his skateboarding crew and he of course suffered the consequences for possibly somebody else's negligence. The pop star and his Young Money Entertainment label and Trukfit clothing line all took the blame and are the defendants in this new case.

Since Wayne is the big guy around, of course is he's going to be made responsible since he has the deeper pockets. 

Though many consider Wayne a rapper, the artist is so popular in the music industry that it's tough to not refer to him as a pop star. Before coming out with his third album, Tha Carter III, Wayne was featured in almost every song on the radio. He gained world wide recognition despite being in the rap game at an early age.
