Celtic will be the underdogs yet again, but will try to imbibe the memories of that famous win over Barcelona in the group stages when the Scottish champions host Juventus in the last 16 first leg of the Champions League.
Juventus are on their way to their second straight Serie A title in Italy, and slowly but surely in the group stages found their way back in Europe, after a sabbatical, knocking out European champions Chelsea in the process.
"To qualify was the best thing I've done in a managerial sense -- to get out of the group with 10 points," Celtic manager Neil Lennon said. "We might never get this opportunity again. I don't want people thinking this is going to be an annual thing, because it's a very difficult thing to do. So we have to maximize our opportunities.
"We might never get here again. Gordon Strachan did it two years in a row here, Alex McLeish did it (with Rangers) the year before that. So it was almost as if it was going to be a foregone conclusion every year. But it's such a difficult ride to get here. We have to make the most of it now.
"We have to enjoy these moments and enjoy these nights. We have given the fans something to believe again, something to dream about. That's been missing for a long time."
Lennon admitted he doesn't really relish the underdog tag, with the manager believing his team haven't been given enough credit.
"It would be dangerous to underestimate Celtic," he said. "We have proved in the Champions League that we can be a match for anyone.
"I think we have been through this whole campaign. Going into this game, we are made out to be massive underdogs. I don't quite see it that way myself.
"We have caught a lot of people's attention. We have been underestimated as a physical, up-and-at-them British-type team. That is exactly what we are not. We have skilful, technical players in our team and on a big pitch against quality opposition we know they can perform."
Juventus will know the cauldron that awaits them at Celtic Park and coach Antonio Conte is not taking a result for granted.
"We're going to have to be very, very careful here tomorrow (Tuesday) night," Conte said. "I feel that a stadium of 60,000 people will be like a 12th man. Celtic are a very good team. To beat Barcelona here and to go so close at the Camp Nou is proof of that.
"If anyone's been underestimating Celtic, it's certainly not been us. We have respect for Celtic who, like ourselves, are back in the Champions League.
"The main objective is to continue to develop as a team, to mature. The minimum aim every year has to be to qualify for the Champions League. The Champions League is a dream for us, we savor it not only in the group stage but in the knockout phase.
"Our next aim is to get to the quarterfinals. At the end of this tie, we'll be where we deserve to be."
Giorgos Samaras is a doubt for Celtic with a hamstring problem, while Emilio Izaguirre has been declared fit.
Giorgio Chiellini and Paolo de Ciglie are ruled out for Juve, while Kwado Asamoah is unlikely to be risked after just returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.
