J.J. Watt is one of the toughest and most explosive defensive players in football, but even he looks small next to former Houston Rockets center Yao Ming.
According to Yahoo Sports, Watt took the picture with Ming in Houston after having lunch together. Watt posted the picture on his Twitter account and wrote: "Great lunch with @YaoMing today. Have a feeling he could knock down a pass or two..."
Watt was one of the best players in football this year and won Defense Player of the Year after posting 20.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, 81 tackles and 16 passes defensed in 16 games. He was one of the top rushers in the league, but even at 6-foot-5 and 295 pounds, he looks tiny next to Ming.
The former NBA center is listed as 7-6, 310 pounds on his NBA.com profile page, making him over a foot taller than Watt and even larger weight-wise. Ming has been a huge presence in Houston since retiring and Watt has become one of the most popular players for the Texans. The team was one of the best in the AFC this year, but lost to the Patriots in the playoffs.
Watt and the Texans were overmatched by the Patriots twice in a month after losing in the playoffs and the team looked as if it was in line for a number one or two seed in the playoffs before fading down the stretch.
Arian Foster and Matt Schaub are returning and Andre Johnson helps make the Texans into contenders again next year.
