Los Angeles Lakers Rumors: Michael Jordan Puts The Kobe Bryant Vs. LeBron James To Rest By Using Math?

LeBron James' winning his first championship only fueled the James vs. Kobe Bryant debate. Fans have long since discussed which player out the two was closer in comparison to the great Michael Jordan.

Jordan has said that Bryant was his closest comparison in the past, but with the last two season's of spectacular performances by James, the debate has increased in intensity. However, to Jordan answering the debate is simple, as to him it comes down to simple math.

In an interview with Ahmad Rashad, which will air on NBA TV on Monday, Jordan told Rashard:

Five beats one every time I look at it," Jordan said. "And not that (James) won't get five. He may get more than that, but five is bigger than one."

Reporters caught up with James after Thursday's game in Oklahoma City, to get his reaction to Jordan's comment:

"It doesn't matter to me,. f you take Kobe one and I go second, it doesn't matter. I don't get too involved in what guys say about me or if you take Kobe or if you take LeBron. As long as I'm on the floor and I make plays for my teammates, I don't do what I do for other people's approval."

Michael Jordan turns 50 years old on Sunday, and the NBA will celebrate his birthday with on-air specials recounting Jordan's truly phenomenal career in the NBA that has influence essentially every NBA player today and future stars to come.
