The Bonnaroo music festival is considered to be one of the biggest musical events of the year and lineup for the 2013 show has been released and it includes a number of old and modern day acts, including names like Paul McCartney and Mumford & Sons.
According to the New York Times, the event will have over 100 band and groups and the four-day festival will have headliners in McCartney, Mumford & Sons and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. The lineup includes many rock groups and American style blues, including Monsters and Men, Wilco, the Lumineers and Animal Collective.
Bonnaroo is known for its mix of musical genres and alternative acts include Grizzly Bear, The xx, Passion Pit as well as the Dirty Projectors, Beach House and Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. The hip-hop acts include the new chart-topping duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, legendary group the Wu-Tang Clan, Nas and more.
The Bonnaroo festival is held in Manchester, Tennessee and will go from June 13 to June16. Weird Al Yankovich announced the lineup on a livestream on YouTube. Comedian Daniel Tosh will also appear and he revealed the rest of the lineup in an internet video.
Some of the other bands include Gaslight Anthem, ZZ Top, Bjork, R. Kelly, Kendrick Lamar, The National, David Byrne, Dwight Yokam and many more. Billy Idol will also be performing at the 11th annual festival. The shows will be held at Great Stage Park, which is a 700-acre farm turned outdoor event space.
