The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers play Wednesday evening at 10:30 p.m. ET in what's always an entertaining matchup to watch as these two historic teams with a historic rivalry square off for their second and final meeting of the year.
Both teams are making a playoff push or at least desperately trying to make a playoff push. Though they don't face each other enough times in a season to really affect their regular season records, it's always a heck of a game to watch.
Before we break down the matchup, find out where and what time you should tune in to watch the game.

It's the veteran soldiers Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett against another old man, Kobe Bryant. These guys are ageless wonders and are carrying their teams far into the season.
If the season ended today, the Celtics would remain in the playoff picture with a 28-25 record in the Eastern Conference, good enough for seventh place. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games and doing it without main man Rajon Rondo.
The Lakers wish they were in the playoff picture, but as the season is exactly two months from going into the playoffs, they find themselves 3.5 games out of the eighth and final spot. The Lakers, who have proved nowhere near the Showtime Lakers of the 80's, are 25-29. Mike D'Antoni says the team needs to win 45 games to make the playoffs and clearly, the odds are against them.
In their last meeting on Feb. 7, the Lakers were completely blown out by the Celtics losing 95-116 in Boston. As the Lakers finally hit Staples Center, look for Kobe and their offense to be fired up.
It's crunch time for both squads. It will surely be disappointing watching the playoffs without the two most successful franchises in the history of basketball as they have combined for 33 world championships.
It's Celtics. vs. Lakers on Wednesday night. Do not miss the action.
