Boston Red Sox vs. Northeastern Eagles Score with Updates, Lineups and Stats of Spring Training Game

The Boston Red Sox hit the field against the Northeaster University Eagles for the first baseball game played in the country in 2013. First pitch is a little after 1:35 p.m. ET from Florida. That's right, Spring Training is here and if you're ready for some baseball, you can check out live scoring updates as the game will not be televised.

Believe it or not, well, it's Spring Training, but Joel Hanrahan, one of the Red Sox's winter acquisitions will be the opener against the Eagles' Dylan Maki

Hanrahan is one of the newest faces on the team as the Red Sox went for complete change in 2013. They didn't seek out record breaking signings or any long term deals. Instead, the Red Sox kept negotations straight forward and contrants were kept short.

Johnny Gomes, Mike Napoli, David Ross and Shane Victorino were signed early in the offseason and the Red Sox weren't beating around the bush as they went right for who they wanted. Hanrahan gives the Red Sox security in the bullpen, something they can't say they had after Jonathan Papelbon signed with the Philadelphia Phillies.

Now, check out both batting lineups as the Red Sox get ready to face a college team, the Eagles.
