Bayern Munich vs Borussia Dortmund Live Stream: Watch Free Online German Cup Quarterfinal Game

Bayern Munich might be running away with the Bundesliga title, however Borussia Dortmund will look to stop their rivals in their tracks in the quarterfinal of the German Cup.

Dortmund beat Bayern in the final of the cup last year to complete a second straight league and cup double, but with their chances if retaining the Bundesliga title gone, Jurgen Klopp's men will be keen to keep their cup hopes alive when the two sides meet at the Allianz Arena.

"We know that we are one of the few teams on this planet that are capable of beating them," Klopp said. "We will approach this game like an away match in the Champions League.

"We want and need to take the initiative, and it was not much fun for them to play against us."

It would be safe to say that the winner of the tie will be the favorites to go all the way and lift the cup, making the game even more important.

Bayern manager Jupp Heynckes, who will retire at the end of the season with Pep Guardiola set to take over, said his side were well prepared for the challenge.

"We're well prepared, we're in good shape, and we're totally motivated," he said. "We believe in our own strengths. We're capable of winning.

"But as the past has shown, Dortmund have managed to win many a tight game. It's a showdown between equals."

Bayern will be without winger Franck Ribery, who is suspended after picking up a red card in the previous round against Augsburg; Arjen Robben is expected to replace the Frenchman on the left.

Javi Martinez, who was substituted due to a minor groin strain in the league win over Werder Bremen at the weekend, is expected to be available while Daniel Van Buyten also returns from an illness.

Dortmund do not have any major injury worries, with Polish pair Jakub Blaszczykowski and Lukasz Piszczek available for action along with Mats Hummels.
