With the tie perfectly poised, Manchester United and Real Madrid will look to advance to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, in what promises to be a humdinger of a second leg.
The first leg of the last 16 at the Bernabeu ended 1-1 with Cristiano Ronaldo equalizing after Danny Welbeck had given the away side the lead. The match will be much anticipated as Ronaldo returns to the ground where he grew into a global superstar.
"It will be complicated because we are both having a good streak," Real manager Jose Mourinho said. "Manchester United has practically won the Premier League in March and is in the English Cup quarterfinals.
"They have not lost any games in a while, and we have lost only one of the past 12. The world will stop tomorrow for 90 minutes to watch this game. More than a playoff, it feels like a final. It's a positive thing when you come to a match with confident players."
"I expect United to be very defensive when we have the ball, and to attack strongly when they have it. Even though we're behind in the tie and have to attack, we'll also have to defend stoutly.
"We come here after two important wins, but even coming here after two defeats would make no difference. It's good to have players happy, with morale high after beating their rivals (FC Barcelona) twice."
Sir Alex Ferguson expects the tie to be one to remember, particularly with both teams in good form. "Real have just played two fantastic games against Barcelona and they're hitting form at just the right time, while we've been playing consistently well for quite a while now," he said. "It doesn't get any bigger than this game: two big clubs, two great histories, it's set up to be a marvellous game and I don't think it'll disappoint."
Phil Jones, the man who did so well in the first leg, is ruled out along with Paul Scholes for United. For Real, Iker Casillas remains out, while Xabi Alonso is carrying a groin problem, but is expected to start.
