Tim Tebow has been the main topic of trade talks all offseason since the Jets started shopping him around the NFL and a deal is looking more and more likely with the moves the team makes, including bringing in David Garrard at quarterback.

According to ESPN.com, Garrard said he feels the Jets is an 'ideal situation' for him and that it is a perfect fit for him in the NFL. Garrard originally worked out for the Jets on Thursday and although they have not given him a deal, the two sides have been in communication and a contract could come as soon as the team figures out its cap situation.

The Jets have one of the roughest salary cap situations due to their quarterback deal to Mark Sanchez and that was one reason why they fired Mike Tannenbaum and released a number of veteran players, including linebacker Bart Scott.

Garrard, who is still a free agent, spoke to SiriusXM NFL Radio about the Jets and said: "I definitely think it's the ideal situation". He added that he is "feeling healthy now and I just don't want to go out as an injured player."

Garrard, who is a New Jersey native originally, is 35-years-old and last played in the NFL with Jacksonville Jaguars in 2010, where he was the starter for some time. He spent last offseason with the Miami Dolphins and was looking like a possible starter before the team released him. Garrard injured his knee during training camp and has been out of a job since.

Sources told ESPN that the Jets are continuing conversations with the quarterback and that Garrard "anticipates putting a deal together." The quarterback spent a number of years with the Jaguars and has passed for 16,003 yards with 89 touchdowns and 54 interceptions in 86 career games.

"I'm not ready to be done yet," he said, adding, "I'm tired of sitting and watching on my couch."

"I want to go out and win ballgames. I've been watching for the last few years unfortunately and I've been watching some not-so-good quarterback play out there and I know that I can still play and I can play at a high level," he said. "I want to get back out on the field and show myself that I can stay healthy and help a ballclub, really."

Tebow has yet to be traded, but there are some interesting spots for him to land, including the Arizona Cardinals and even the New England Patriots. The Cardinals could be looking to move on from John Skelton, Ryan Lindley and Kevin Kolb, while Bill Belichick has never been shy about making strange moves and taking chances on players, like he did with Randy Moss, Corey Dillon and Chad Johnson.

With Garrard in the fold, Tebow could be on the move.
