Tim Tebow Girlfriend Rumors With Erin Drewes Makes Beautiful Girl Internet Star, Couple Never Dated After Being Seen In Pictures Together (PHOTO)

Tim Tebow has been mentioned in rumors about a lot of things, including trades, church appearances as well as with girlfriends and Erin Drewes was one of the first ones to catch some internet fame off the chatter, which happened when she appeared in a photo with Tebow in 2007.

According to Yahoo Sports, the Dr. Saturday blog caught up with Drewes on Saturday to talk about her experiences with Tebow and what the rumors have meant for her life. It started when she was seen in a picture with Tebow at a party, which eventually hit the internet and got blogs buzzing that she was the girlfriend of the Florida Gators star.

Back in 2007 the primary mode of sports internet rumors was on blogs and not on Twitter, which is one reason why so many different and untruthful things were written about Drewes and Tebow, including that they dated, which they actually never did. Drewes said the two had seen each other around campus and were friendly and that she was surprised when she saw the picture online.

Following the rumors and the buzz, Drewes took the anti-Katherine Webb route and did just one interview and a spread for Playboy before concentrating on her studies and working on a master's degree to be a nurse practitioner. She appeared in a body paint version of Tebow's jersey in the magazine, but after that she didn't do any other magazine interviews.

Yahoo caught up with Drewes after mentioning her in their "Top five most famous college football girlfriends" list and she spoke with the blog about some of her past experiences with Tebow.

When asked about taking the random picture at the party with Tebow and the following internet buzz.

"It was shocking. I didn't know why out of all the people that took pictures with Tebow, I ended up on the Internet. It was definitely something new and I didn't know how to handle it," she said. "I'm not the biggest fan of the picture! I would have liked to look a little more appropriate in it. I feel like it doesn't represent who I am very well. But what can I do about it?"

She also spoke about the body paint spread and the magazine and if she regretted doing it.

"Now that I am older and wiser, I would probably not do it over again. But I don't necessarily regret it. It's a story I tell when I am old," she said. It gets brought up maybe like twice a year. I don't think twice about the things that were said about me. It hurt at the time but I got thicker skin from it. I will say if I ever have children it is a very good teaching tool on how to be smart about the pictures you take and the things you do!"
