Nascar's Jeff Gordon Takes Unsuspecting Car Salesman For A Wild Test Drive In New Pepsi Max Prank Ad (Video)

When NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon gets behind the wheel, fans are undoubtedly in for a treat, but what happens when the wheels of a stock car aren't being burned, but your own?

That's what happened to an unsuspecting car salesman after he thought he was taking a potential, nerdy-looking customer for a test drive of a Camaro. Little did he know that the nerdy-looking test driver was indeed a NASCAR champion behind a very elaborate hoax.

In a new Pepsi Max ad, Gordon takes the salesman on terrifying test drive, at ridiculous speeds that almost involved an accident with another car. During this time the salesman was left with a horrific expression, almost as if he was to have a heart attack on the spot, screaming and cursing at Gordon the entire way, while hanging for his life.

At one point, he even says, "You're an idiot, I'm going to kill you." Gordon captures it all from a pair of glasses with a camera attached - not unlike Google Glass. By the end of the ride, the salesman is ready to call the cops before Gordon reveals that it was all just a prank.

The prank was released by Pepsi Max as a commercial on Tuesday. It has raised some debate on whether the whole thing was setup and that the salesman was in on it, but still the commercial is pretty hilarious.

Pepsi also did the hugely popular Uncle Drew commercials with Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, disguised as an old man, and taking on incredulous players in a pickup game at a local basketball court.
