Indian tennis icon Sania Mirza lost her first round match against Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova, in the Women's Singles event of the 2012 Australian Open, in Melbourne, on Monday. Pironkova crushed her opponent by a 4-6, 2-6 margin, in the first major grand slam event of the year.
