The United States gets ready to face the Puerto Ricans once again as the World Baseball Classic Pool 2 elimination game goes down at 7 p.m. ET. Check out the live stream at the end of the article. 

Team USA will be looking to advance to the semifinals if they win where they will face the Dominican Republic to decide the winner of Pool 2. The winner will face the Netherlands in the true semifinals of the tournament while they loser will face Japan. 

The Dominican Republic rocked the USA and Italy entering automatically into the fight for the semifinals. On Thursday,

The Dominican Republic defeated USA 3-1 and advancing to the semifinals of the World Baseball Classic. They rallied back in the top of the ninth inning to complete a comeback, forcing Team USA to an elimination game against Puerto Rico.

The Dominican broke the tie in the ninth against baseball's best closer, Craig Kimbrel. Nelson Cruz started things off immediately with a first pitch line drive double to right field that was cut off by Giancarlo Stanton. Carlos Santana moved him over to third and with one out, Erick Aybar drove him in from third base.

Puerto Rico lost to the USA and then beat the Italians to remain alive in the competition. Now, it's win or go home for both teams.  

For Team USA, there's no doubt that they missed David Wright in their loss to the Dominicans. However, credit has to be given to the Dominican Republic's pitching which held this offense to a single run. The Americans also have to receive credit as their bullpen held it down for a good portion of the game until Craig Kimbrel was immediately attacked by Nelson Cruz after he doubled on the first pitch he saw in the top of the ninth. 

The good news for the U.S., and hopefully for them it's not too late, is that R.A. Dickey gave a solid performance pitching five innings of one run baseball and giving his team the chance to win on Thursday.
