Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico Score at World Baseball Classic with Play-by-Play and Live Updates

The World Baseball Classic has an exciting matchup featuring the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, once again, in the final game of Pool 2. The 2013 WBC has been charged with a lot of emotion and drama. These two teams can provide a show for fans and without a doubt, it should be a good one. If you can't watch the game, check the score through Gameday powered by MLB.

With Gameday, you can check who's hitting, on deck, in the hole while also seeing where balls land, where pitches are thrown, their velocity and who's on base. Gameday is the electronic, but interactive way of watching a baseball game and it will fill you with just as much emotion if you can't watch the game live.

As the game is ready to get started, on the mound for the Dominican Republic will be Wandy Rodriguez, while Orlando Roman takes the mound for Puerto Rico. Both guys went three innings-plus in their last meeting and gave up just one run to the opponent when they faced each other in the final game of Pool 1 just about a week ago.

Guys who stole the spotlight with the bat that evening were Puerto Rico's Mike Aviles, who homered briefly giving his country a 2-1 lead and Irving Falu who went 2-4 in the game. For the Dominicans, Robinson Cano homered going 3-5 in the game, while Erick Aybar went 2-5 with a run scored starting in his first game as manager Tony Peña gave Jose Reyes the day off placing him in the DH spot.

The Dominicans would love to repeat their 4-2 win over Puerto Rico. This would mean they remain undefeated in the tournament and advance to a semifinals meeting with the Netherlands. Puerto Rico would love to be considered the winners of Pool 2. However, if they lose, better it be now than in the semifinals where there is no coming back.

The winner takes on the Netherlands while the loser faces Japan, the two-time WBC champions.
