Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn Officially Dating After Facebook Announcement, Golfer and Olympian In Romance (PHOTOS)

Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn have been rumored to be dating for months and now it is official, as the golfer posted a photo of the two on the social media website Facebook.

According to Yahoo Sports, Woods posted the pictures and also wrote a short announcement, saying on Monday that the two are dating. Woods and Vonn are world class athletes and Vonn just won a title after a delay in an event despite being sidelined with a knee injury, while Woods won his second tournament of the year last week at Doral.

Woods wrote:

"This season has been great so far and I'm happy with my wins at Torrey and Doral. Something nice that's happened off the course was meeting Lindsey Vonn. Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes."

Woods has been rumored to be dating Vonn for a while and even sent a private plane for her when she needed to come back after her injury in Austria. Woods's ex-wife is also dating again and was reportedly linked to a coal billionaire magnate.

Woods has been on his game and is closing in on the number one ranking from Rory McIlroy. Wood's ex Elin Nordegren has kept a low profile since the divorce, but her and Woods were spotted recently with their children. Woods recently sold the home they shared where their Thanksgiving incident occurred to fellow golfer Bubba Watson.

Vonn was on a hot streak, winning two straight races before being injured and her divorce from her husband Thomas Vonn was recently finalized. The Olympian said afterwards that she "will not participate in any speculation surrounding her personal life at this time," she said in a statement last month.

According to the Associated Press, Vonn injured herself after losing balance on her right leg after landing from a jump. Her ski came off her foot right away and forced Vonn to slide off the course and crash into a gate. She received medical attention on the slope for over 10 minutes and was brought to the hospital.
