Jeremy Lin was named the Eastern Conference's player of the week after he lead New York Knicks to a 4-0 record, making 28, 23, 38 and 20 points in the four games completed through February 12. The 109 points in the first four career starts are the most by any player since 176-77. 

Lin is the first player in NBA history to record at least 20 points and seven assists in each of his first four starts. He averaged 27.3 points, 8.3 assists and 2.0 steals over the period. 

For the Western Conference Player of the Week, Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook was named. He averaged 30.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.5 steals in the week. 

Other nominees of the week were Dallas' Dirk Nowitzki, Detroit's Greg Monroe, Golden State's Monta Ellis, Miami'sLeBron James and Dwyane Wade and Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant.
