Big 12 Football Schedule for 2012 Released

The Big 12 released its football schedule for the 2012 season. The ten team, nine conference game schedule includes Mountaineers and TCU that joined the league and replaced Missouri and Texas A&M.

Here are some of the highlights on the conference's upcoming season:

-  Newcomer TCU is scheduled to play the first conference game of the season on Sept. 15 against Kansas.

- West Virginia will play home game on Sept. 29 against Baylor. West Virginia joined the Big 12 after the lawsuit settlement with the Big East.

-  Oklahoma and Texas will play each other on Oct. 13 at Cotton Bowl Stadium in Dallas. The game is expected to be played on Thanksgiving night.

- Bedlam will continue the rivalry game with Oklahoma on Nov. 24.

-In the final week, Kansas will play at WVU.

-There are likely to be schedule adjustments because of television.
