Harvard Basketball Gets Love From Jeremy Lin As Rockets Point Guard Hits Twitter About Upset Win Against New Mexico At NCAA Tournament

Jeremy Lin used to play basketball at Harvard and that is exactly why he was so excited to watch his Crimson beat and upset the number 3 seeded New Mexico Lobos on Thursday night in the NCAA tournament to advance one more round and get their first ever win in the tournament.

Lin was with the team through his senior year and he averaged 17.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists as a junior before breaking out with 16.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists as a senior. Lin wrote on Twitter: "YYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!! HARVARD winssss!!! hahahahhah i told you.... #threepointgoggles #bracketbusters pic.twitter.com/ZlpqTFCPtM."

The win for Harvard was the first in school history and now puts the Ivy League on the map in the NCAA tourney. Harvard was excellent from long range, making 8-for-18 from 3-point range and made Lin proud.

According to USA Today, Lin tweeted a picture about the game and also wrote very excitedly as they won. The 14th-seeded Crimson got 18 points from Wesley Saunders and defeated New Mexico 68-62 to advance against the winner of Arizona-Belmont on Friday.
