NHL Signings 2013: Anaheim Ducks Sign Right Wing Radek Dvorak

The Anaheim Ducks have signed right winger Radek Dvorak for the rest of the season, giving the 16-year veteran a one-year contract.

The team made the announcement after Sunday night's 2-1 loss to the Detroit Red Wings.

Right now the team will have to wait until Dvorak is removed off waivers, as required after a team signs a player who suited up in an European league after the start of the NHL season.

Dvorak spent this season playing for Davos in Switzerland, and now with their season over, he's heading back stateside.

While playing for Davos, Dvorak managed to accumulate three goals and four assists in seven games throughout the entire season.

In his NHL career he garnered 219 goals in 1,191 career games with Florida, the New York Rangers, Edmonton, St. Louis, Atlanta and Dallas. Dvorak, 36, played in 73 games with the Stars last season, getting four goals and 17 assists.

Dvorak had a career-high 31 goals in 2000-01 with the Rangers and helped lead the Panthers to the 1996 Stanley Cup finals. He made another trip to the finals with the Oilers in 2006.
