Reid Flair, Son Of WWE Super Star Ric Flair, Dead At 25

Tragedy has struck the home of professional wrestler Ric Flair as his son, Reid, was found dead in his Charlotte hotel room Friday morning.

According to Yahoo! Sports, Charlotte-Mecklenburg County police received a call about 10:30 ET Friday morning about an unresponsive man at a Marriott Residence hotel. As of now the current police report indicates no foul play was believed to be the cause of death.

Flair's agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, issued a statement on the family's behalf:

"We are heartbroken to confirm that Ric's son, Reid, has passed away today March 29, 2013 in Charlotte, NC. The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing. Reid was an incredible son, brother, friend, and professional wrestler. No words can describe the grief that Ric and his family are experiencing and they do request privacy during this devastating time."

Flair's son followed in the family business, finding work in Japan as a wrestler last year and was scheduled to tour with his father this weekend at the Big Time Wrestling events in Hagerstown, Md., and Altoona, Penn. The father-son duo did a great deal of work together on the independent scene, with Ric often serving as Reid's manager.

Ric Flair had recently rejoined the WWE, and Reid was expected to follow in his father's footsteps.
