The Sweet 16 is under way at the 2013 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament as the Oregon Ducks face the Louisville Cardinals at 7:15 p.m. ET. If you can't watch the game on TV, check out the live stream provided at the end of the article, but first check out the breakdown of this matchup as both teams attempt to make the Elite Eight.
Oregon is the 12th seed out of the Midwest Region. They defeated Oklahoma State and following that upset with an upset of Saint Louis. Neither game was close as the Oregon demolished Oklahoma St. 68-55 and then kicked Saint Louis. to the curb with a 74-57 victory. Those two opponents were ranked fifth and fourth in the tournament respectively, yet the Ducks had the fire power to eliminate them from contention.
Louisville is not a No. 4 or 5 seed, they are No. 1 overall. They play like a No. 1 and they were fueled before the tournament began as they captured the Big East Championship in dynamic fashion knocking off Syrace after coming from behind in the second half. Louisville found themselves down by double-digits in the half and found a way to stop Syracuse.
Their solution was the full court press. Oregon better have practiced with more than five guys as defenders because Louisville seems to have the entire court filled with Cardinals the way they're able to cut down passes and trap their opponents. Basically, the press makes a team look foolish and if they're unprepared, then turnovers will be the result.
