President Obama Attends Syracuse NCAA Tournament Game and Meets Robert Griffin III As Final Four Set With Louisville, Wichita State and Michigan (PHOTO)

President Obama is an avid sports fan and college basketball enthusiast, which is one reason why it was no surprise that he was in attendance at the Verizon Center over the weekend in Washington to watch the East Regional final between Syracuse and Marquette, which the Orange won to go to the Final Four.

The game showed how tough it is to pick a bracket, as President Obama had the regional final team's right with Syracuse, Marquette, Miami, and Indiana, but picked the winners wrong after selecting the Hoosiers to go all the way.

According to USA Today, the President also met another powerful Washington figure, meeting Robert Griffin III at the game. Syracuse won the game s 55-39, but according to the Washington Times, President Obama gave some tips to Griffin about defensing himself on the field,

"Good conversation with @BarackObama Wise words, & much appreciated," Griffin tweeted Sunday.

Griffin was injured last season after tearing his ACL and is expected to make it back healthy in time for the first game of the season. Doctors have said that Griffin is progressing nicely and that he should get back to full strength.

"My knee is getting better every day. The doctors say I'm ahead of schedule," Griffin said in a statement released to ESPN last week. "My goal is to return healthy in Week 1 but if I'm not ready then I will wait until I am, however long that is. My first NFL season and my injury that ended it showed me a lot about the league, my team and myself."
