Tim Tebow Rumors: Buffalo Bills or Chicago Bears Trade An Option With Carson Palmer Arizona Cardinals Deal? Quarterback Could Be Saints Backup

Tim Tebow has been mentioned in trade rumors for most of the offseason, but with a number of teams filling their starting and backup quarterback positions, the New York Jets are finding less and less options as they move forward, making the Buffalo Bills one of the only teams that could make a move.

Tebow was mentioned in reports possibly going to Arizona, but after the Cardinals acquired Carson Palmer from the Raiders for a seventh round pick, that door is likely closed. The Jaguars appeared to be a natural option, but they instead have said they will sit tight and likely draft Geno Smith later in April. The Raiders themselves could have been a spot, but they brought in Matt Flynn to be the new starter before getting rid of Palmer.

The Jets could just release Tebow since he likely isn't on their main agenda for next season, but they would like to get something in return for him. Chances are he will remain with the team, but the Jets could find a taker as the draft gets closer as he still can provide value to some teams depending on their quarterback situations.

All the movement this week with quarterbacks did not involve Tebow at all and shows the growing disinterest in him as a player, as Kevin Kolb, Matt Flynn and Palmer all have new teams. Tebow has done something more recently than all three of them: win a division title and a playoff game, but he can't even get a sniff at a chance.

Some options like the Bills and Cardinals appear off the table, but there is a chance someone like the Saints or Buccaneers goes after him, as they both need backup quarterbacks. The team also could try to package Tebow in a deal with the Buccaneers for Darrelle Revis, something that could help satisfy needs on both sides.

The Patriots are a big wild card, as the Jets likely won't want to trade with them, but it is intriguing, as Tom Brady's backups are Ryan Mallett and Mike Kafka, two guys with less experience than Tebow. If there is anyone out there that can learn to use him it's Bill Belichick or Josh McDaniels, his former coach.

Tebow needs someone to support his style of play and he could provide a spark for a number of teams while coming off of the bench. The Jets had no idea how to use him, but if someone could figure it out the results could be explosive.

Tebow has also been working on a new children's hospital, according to Sports.Inquierer.net in Davao City. The six story complex is currently being worked on and Tebow has helped to raise $3.1 million for the facility and it will be used for free care for children of residents in the area.
