Chelsea Transfer News: Didier Drogba Wants Jose Mourinho to Return to Stamford Bridge and Win Champions League

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba wants Jose Mourinho to return to Stamford Bridge next season, while also hinting at the possibility of his own return to the club he loves once his contract with Galatasaray expires.

Drogba will be up against Mourinho when Galatasaray travel to the Bernabeu to take on Real Madrid in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The Ivory Coast international believes Mourinho is needed at Chelsea at the moment, and with the Portuguese's future with Real still very much up in the air, it looks like a real possibility.

"Jose needs to come back," Drogba told The Sun. "He is a winner, he is close to the players. He went to Inter and is now at Real Madrid but he is still talking about Chelsea so he loves this club.

"The fans want him back. I think for the club it is the best solution to bring Jose back because you want to rebuild a team and to give them the strength we had a few years ago, he could be the right person."

Mourinho has said a few times he wants to work in England again, and there have been reports suggesting Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has repaired his relationship with Mourinho, a fractured affiliation which had eventually led to the Portuguese's departure in 2007.

"If he is thinking about bringing him back he has his reasons," Drogba added. "I don't think he has got over Chelsea and they haven't got over him.

"When he came he brought success and the only thing he didn't win was the Champions League. Maybe that is one of the reasons why he might want to come back. It is unfinished business."

Drogba also said a return to Stamford Bridge for himself was a possibility, maybe even in a coaching capacity.

"Let me finish at Galatasaray first and then we will talk about that," he said. "It would be nice, not just coaching but to help the club.

"I gave everything for that club and of course they gave it back to me."
