Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies Lineups and Pitching Matchup for Tuesday's Game (Video)

The Atlanta Braves meet the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday for Game 2 of their Opening Series. Check out the lineups and pitching matchup of this game as the Braves look to once again thrill their fans in Atlanta as they game will be played in Turner Field.

The lineups aren't up yet, but we'll get those as soon as they're available. So let's break down the pitching matchups of this game.

On the mound for the visitors, the Phillies will have Roy Halladay take the hill. The home team will have lefty Paul Maholm handle the duties on the mound. Here's what these guys bring to the table. We begin with the home team's hurler since he'll be taking the mound first.

In 2012, Maholm came over to the Braves during midseason. In 11 starts, he went 4-5 with a decent 3.54 ERA. During Spring Training, Maholm went 4-1 in seven starts while posting a ridiculous 1.53 ERA. He was pitching like he was facing the New York Mets every day. Expect Maholm to bust out a very slow breaking ball he's been dropping on the opposition and working on during Spring Training.

The Phillies are really looking forward to Halladay's start. He can easily make or break this team in 2013. The Phillies were hurt in 2012, which is one of the reasons many people are sleeping on them this season. They consider them old and feeble and Halladay was one of these guys who missed action last season.

Entering his 15th season in the majors, Halladay's stuff seemed to decline and for the first time since 2005, the right-hander didn't make 20 starts and pitch 200 innings. Another stat, for the first time since 2000, Halladay didn't record a complete game.

If Halladay is successful in 2013, then the Phillies have a great chance of competing in the N.L. East.

Halladay's weaknesses in the Braves lineup:
Freddie Freeman- 15 ABs .457 avg. 3 HR 9 RBI
B.J. Upton- 32 AB .344 avg.
Dan Uggla- 31 AB 3 HR 6 RBI

Halladay is 4-3 with a 4.21 ERA against the Braves in his career.

Maholm's weaknesses against the Phillies:
Humberto Quintero: .357 avg. 14 ABs 1 RBI
Michael Young: 2-2 1 HR 2 RBI
Jimmy Rollins: .308 13 ABs

Maholm is 4-2 against the Phillies with a 5.16 ERA.

As soon as those lineups are released, we won't hesitate to publish them.
