The New York Yankees host the Boston Red Sox in the second game of their Opening Series. If you can't watch the game, we got you covered. We'll bring a live blog with the score and play-by-play of this game as the Yankees look to get even in this one. Check out the lineup and pitching matchup as we get ready to bring you Game 2 of the Yankees vs. Red Sox.

Long ago, it seems, these games used to mean something, but now, with different players and a less intense rivalry left in the past, the Red Sox and Yankees seem to play for pride. Neither team is expected to make the playoffs. The Red Sox were the first to strike this season as they won the season opener that was witnessed only by a couple of hundred late in the game. By the bottom of the ninth and the fans gone, the Red Sox retired the Yankees 8-2.

Jon Lester seemed like he was back to his old self. For the Yankees, C.C. Sabathia wasn't dominant once again proving if the Yankees can't pitch, then there's not much their offense can provide as Derek Jeter, Mark Teixeira, Curtis Granderson and Alex Rodriguez sit out.

The Red Sox aren't injured, but they have a lot of guys in the back end of their careers. The additions of Jonny Gomes, Shane Victorino, Mike Napoli and Ryan Dempster, bring back a blue collar feel associated with guys like Kevin Millar, Mike Lowell and David Ortiz, who brought championships to Boston. Though their stats aren't as impressive, they bring a better feel to the clubhouse than the recent millionaires the Red Sox payed only to blow a chance at the 2011 playoffs.

Here's what the starting lineups look like for both squads as we get ready for first pitch.

Boston Red Sox Lineup
1. Ellsbury CF
2. Nava, DH
3. Pedroia 2B
4. Napoli 1B
5. Saltalamacchia C
6. Middlebrooks 3B
7. Victorino RF
8. Bradley Jr. LF
9. Iglesias SS

NY Yankees Lineup
1. Gardner CF
2. Suzuki RF
3. Cano 2B
4. Youkilis 3B
5. Hafner DH
6. Wells LF
7. Overbay 1B
8. Nuñez SS
9. Stewart C

As you can see, Pedroia and Cano are the only guys you can consider superstars in both lineups.

On the mound, the Yankees send Japanese pitcher, Hiroki Kuroda and he'll be facing Clay Buchholz, who was lights out during Spring Training.
