Serena Williams vs. Mallory Burdette Live Stream: Watch Online 2013 WTA Tour Family Circle Cup Free From Billie Jean King In Charleston

Serena Williams is getting herself set up for the French Open later next month and she will get another tune-up against fellow American Mallory Burdette in the Family Circle Cup Women's Singles third round from South Carolina.

Williams took down Camila Giorgi 6-2, 6-3 on Tuesday and showed that she had no issues going from hard courts to clay ones as she moves on in the tournament. Williams has been sharp the past two months and she was not part of one of the upsets going on during the day, as Sloane Stephens lost to Bethanie Mattek-Sands.

Williams had a shaky start while going down 3-2 and later was able to bounce back to win the next five games and is now the oldest woman to have the number one ranking in the world. The 21-year-old Giorgi put up another tough fight, much like she did last year when she made it t0o the fourth round at Wimbledon.

Williams easily won the opening match of the tournament for her in straight sets and she did much better than Stephens, who lost in less than an hour. Venus Williams is playing also and other players that made it through included Jelena Jankovic and Melanie Oudin as well as Jessica Pegula, who upset Mona Barthel in straight sets.

Jelena Jankovic advanced and she knows the court, as she won the tournament in Charleston back in 2007 and so did Sabine Lisicki, who won in 2009. All the players are getting ready for the next major this year with the French Open coming up on clay.
