Tim Tebow Rumors: New York Jets Search For Trade With New England Patriots Or Cleveland Browns As Quarterback Speaks at Pro-Life Pregnancy Center

Tim Tebow is one of the most polarizing players in the NFL and despite the fact that the New York Jets can't find anyone to take him off their hands, that has not stopped the quarterback from making headlines, as he is planning to speak at a Pro-Life pregnancy center later in April.

According to DallasNews.com, Tebow will appear at an Involved for Life event in April at the Dallas Omni Hotel and the following day he will also appear at a Trinity Christian Academy fundraiser. Tebow has received media attention and criticism for his speaking engagements, including when he planned to speak at the First Baptist Church of Dallas, but then decided to cancel his appearance when the media outcry got too large.

The media wrote about the controversial church's pastor, Dr. Robert Jeffress, who has made many comments in the past on other religions, homosexuals, Jews and Mormons as well as Catholics. Following the outcry, Tebow wrote on Twitter that he would not be attending. Following the move, Jeffress spoke about Tebow in his sermon and said that he wimped out at speaking when the media got too loud.

Tebow is involved in many events and engagements through his Tim Tebow Foundation, which raised over $4 million last year. Tebow has not had much chance to play this past season, but there is a chance that the Jets could trade him to the Browns or Patriots, two teams that are looking for a young backup to get on the roster.

Tebow has been controversial for his religious views in the past and many have felt that his play doesn't live up to the attention he gets. Tebow rushed for 102 yards last season and passed for 39 in the air on six completions with zero touchdowns.

"We're thrilled he's coming and delighted to have him," said Carolyn Cline, president and CEO of Involved for Life, according to Dallas News. "He's a great fit and a great stand-up guy."

"TCA is thrilled to have an iconic football star join us for our annual fundraising dinner, and we look forward to hearing Tim Tebow's testimony and learning more about his life experiences," TCA Headmaster Dave Delph said in a September news release.

Tebow wrote about the Jeffresss appearance in February: "While I was looking forward to sharing a message of hope and Christ's unconditional love with the faithful members of the historic First Baptist Church of Dallas in April, due to new information that has been brought to my attention, I have decided to cancel my upcoming appearance. I will continue to use the platform God has blessed me with to bring Faith, Hope and Love to all those needing a brighter day. Thank you for all of your love and support. God Bless!"
