Chelsea Transfer News: Fernando Torres Rules Out Summer Move to Atletico Madrid; Falcao Claims He Has Not Received Any Concrete Offers

Fernando Torres ruled out the possibility of a move to former club Atletico Madrid in the summer, while reported Chelsea target Radamel Falcao has claimed to have received no concrete bids from any club.

Torres has endured a torrid time at Chelsea since making his move from Liverpool in January 2011. There has been widespread speculation that Roman Abramovich could finally be ready to let go of his favorite player, after acknowledging the signing has been a disaster.

A return to his first club Atletico Madrid had been mooted, with Diego Simeone also admitting he would welcome Torres back.

A swap deal involving Falcao going to Stamford Bridge with Torres moving to Atletico has also been considered, but the Spaniard is determined to remain at Stamford Bridge and see out his contract, which runs until 2016.

"I've never hidden that I am grateful because Atletico gave me many things, but the reality is I am in another team and I have three more years on my contract," he was quoted as saying by AS.

"I have a lot of things to give to Chelsea and many things to prove to myself before returning home.

"Right now, returning to Atletico is not a reality."

Meanwhile, Atletico striker Falcao insisted he is yet to receive an official bid from any club.

"I have received no concrete offers to leave Atletico Madrid," he told Argentine radio show Rock and Closs. "I have three years left on my contract with Atletico."

With Torres failing to convince yet again this season, Chelsea are thought to be looking for a proven goalscorer in the summer, with Falcao highest on the list.

Manchester City, Paris Saint Germain and Real Madrid are also reportedly interested.

Speculation has been constant on Chelsea making their move for the prolific Colombian, with some reports even suggesting a deal had been agreed between the two clubs, while some have claimed otherwise.

The Blues are also reportedly interested in Edinson Cavani of Napoli, while Roman Abramovich has considered making a move for Bayern Munich forward Mario Gomez.

Chelsea also need to decide what they plan to do with Romelu Lukaku for next season, with the young Belgian enjoying a brilliant season on loan with West Brom.
