After suffering a poor defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders in the opening match of IPL 2013, Delhi Daredevils will be desperate to pick up their first win when they host the Rajasthan Royals.
The home crowd at the Feroz Shah Kotla should provide the Daredevils with a better lift after their rather forgettable showing against KKR on Wednesday.
Delhi will again be without Virender Sehwag, and will have to find a way to perform without their star players.
"We have got a lot of injuries but we have got a very good team on the park," Daredevils opener David Warner said. "I think that other night we lost too many wickets playing some silly shots.
"Hopefully we can improve on that and some missed chances in the field as well. Lot of balls went through our hands, we have to improve on that. We have got to play to our plan, come out and bat, bowl and field as well as we can and win the game."
Rajasthan Royals will be without Shane Watson for the first game, which skipper Rahul Dravid expects to be a tough one.
"Watto will arrive some time tonight but won't be available for tomorrow's (Saturday's) game," Dravid said. "It is a long season. He is coming off a long flight so we don't want to push him. We have a game on April 8th in Jaipur so that is going to be his first game of the season. We are looking forward to having him back. And hopefully he will start bowling soon at some stage
"Delhi is a terrific side they are one of the powerhouses in the competition. They have big names (and) especially at home they are going to be dangerous. They beat us twice last year but this year hopefully we can (beat them)."
