Knicks can't run with Bulls, lose 6th in a row

The heady days of "Linsanity" are fading further from Knicks fans' minds after New Yorkslumped to their sixth straight defeat on Monday with a 104-99 loss to the Chicago Bulls.

Jeremy Lin, whose meteoric rise from anonymous benchwarmer to NBA sensation set the Knicks alight last month, managed 15 points and eight assists but his impact on the team continues to dwindle as New York fell into a tie with Milwaukee for eighth in the Eastern Conference.

New York kept it close for three quarters and trailed by one heading into the fourth, but they were overmatched in the final quarter.

Derrick Rose attacked relentlessly and had 32 points and seven assists for the Bulls (35-9), whileCarmelo Anthony top-scored for the Knicks (18-24) with 21 points.
