The Boston Red Sox play their first game at home, Fenway Park, in the 2013 season. After beginning the season 4-2, they will host the Baltimore Ravens in a three-game A.L. East series. It's Clay Buchholz on the mound for the Red Sox and boy was he solid in his first start this season against the New York Yankees. However, things quickly take focus on an Orioles lineup, that though the team is 3-3 this year, has some of the hottest hitters in the majors after the first week of baseball. With Chris Davis and Adam Jones, the Orioles have been able to pressure teams with their offense. 

Buchholz could be one pitcher who slows down the O's offense. He's 7-3 with a 3.64 ERA and 58 strikeouts in his career against Baltimore. 

On the mound for the Orioles, Wie-Yin Chen, the second-year lefty from Taiwan. He will have to be very carefull with this Red Sox lineup as they hae have hit him well. Will Middlebrooks leads the way with a .500 batting average in six at-bats, then Dustin Pedroia follows with a .375 average in eight at-bats. Both Jacoby Ellsbury (4 ABs) and Pedro Ciriaco (2 ABs) are hitting .500 against Chen. However, despite these numbers, Yen is 2-0 with a 2.50 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 18 career innings pitched against the Sox.

The offenses stack up as follows. The Orioles are second in baseball in batting average and tied third with Boston with 36 RBI. The Red Sox have eight home runs through the first six games, while Baltimore has seven. The Red Sox are doing a better job getting on base posting a .371 OBP, while the Orioles have a 3.59 OBP.
