Following a comfortable 3-0 win over Galatasaray in the first leg quarterfinal of the Champions League, Jose Mourinho will be hoping for a worry-free second leg for his Real Madrid side in Istanbul.
Real did not have to be at their very best to pull off the result against the Turkish champions in the opening encounter, and despite missing some big names, the Spanish side will be confident of booking a place in the semifinals, although manager Jose Mourinho has warned his side against any complacency.
"After our first meeting I told my players that a team who won the first match 3-0 may lose the second by the same result," Mourinho told reporters. "I said anything is possible and we must be very careful against Galatasaray.
"We have worked on the different defensive formations of Galatasaray. In the first game, they started the match with a four-man defence and switched to three in the second half. We worked on measures against both styles.
"We expect a sold-out stadium with a very intense environment here. Although the fans can be intimidating, my players and I thrive in that kind of atmosphere."
Galatasaray coach Fatih Terim still believes his side are capable of pulling off a monumental upset, but knows how difficult an opponent Real are.
"Anything is possible in football but when you are playing against Real Madrid things are not so easy," he said. "Galatasaray will try everything. I am sure about the ambition and enthusiasm of my players. We have prepared ourselves for any kind of result.
"Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world. We wanted to play football against Real Madrid and we did. We will play an entertaining game for our fans, the result will not be important.
"Our season shows we are going in the right direction: we will try to do even better next year. It is not over yet anyway. Our mission is to be successful both in Europe and the world."
Real will be without suspended duo Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos, while defender Pepe is also a doubt. Kaka has been ruled out with a leg problem.
Dany Nounkeu and Burak Yilmaz, the competition's second leading goalscorer, are suspended, but Johan Elmander is available, after recovering from an injury which has kept him out since early February.
