The Michigan Wolverines lost in the national championship game to the Louisville Cardinals, but that didn't stop Spike Albrecht from being the breakout player of the tournament, before and after the game, as he tweeted to supermodel Kate Upton following the loss.
According to the Huffington Post, Albrecht tweeted to Upton after the game saying he hoped to see her again after spotting her in the arena during the national title game. The freshman was excellent for the Wolverines, dropping 17 points in the first half, but it was his post-game moves that got all the attention later on.
Upton is a Michigan native and she attended the game and posted pictures of her on the way into the Georgia Dome with other Wolverines fans. She did not respond to the tweet directly, although on Tuesday she flashed a pic of Michigan yellow shoes and wrote: "Great game last night we were so close! Albrecht wrote on Twitter: "@KateUpton hey saw you at the game last night, thanks for coming out! Hope to see you again"
