Premier League Results: Arsenal Score Three Late Goals To Down Norwich; Everton Keep Pace with Easy Win over QPR

For 85 minutes Arsenal were staring at a second straight loss to Norwich City in the English Premier League. However, the Gunners brought out the ammunition right at the end to find a way past the Canaries 3-1 and move to third in the table in dramatic fashion.

Goals from Mikel Arteta, Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski gave Arsenal a crucial three points at the Emirates, after Michael Turner had given Norwich the lead ten minutes into the second half.

Arsenal are now one point ahead of Chelsea and Tottenham, although the Blues do have a game in hand.

Arsenal started as expected, enjoying the bulk of the possession, but could not convert the dominance into goals. Gervinho had the best opportunity of the first 45, but a heavy first touch while one-on-one with goalkeeper Mark Bunn, took the chance away.

Olivier Giroud was bright, striking the top of the crossbar with a header, before forcing a save from Bunn after a nice cross from Bacary Sagna down the right.

Santi Cazorla then stung the hands of Bunn as both sides headed into the break goalless.

The second half was pretty much the same, but as is usually the case, Arsenal were handed the sucker punch with pretty much Norwich's first chance of the game.

Michael Turner rose above the static Arsenal defence, to head home from a freekick in the 56th minute as Norwich moved a step closer to completing a remarkable double over the London side.

Arsenal did their best to get back into the game, with Wenger bringing on Theo Walcott and Lukas Podolski for the disappointing Gervinho and Jack Wilshere.

The injection of pace immediately brought about a bit more of a cutting edge to Arsenal's attacks and it only looked like a matter of time before they broke through, even if Norwich's defence looked solid.

The equalizer came in the 85th minute under controversial circumstances. Kei Kamara clearly tugged at the shirt of Giroud inside the box with both of them fighting for the ball, and the assistant referee at the far end waved his flag, even though referee Mike Jones did not see anything wrong.

At the end of the day, regardless of who had given the penalty, it was the correct decision - yes, tugging at the shirt happens inside the box all the time, but that does not make it right.

Arteta stepped up and slotted the penalty home as Arsenal got their tails up going into the final moments of the game. Three minutes later the comeback was completed when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, another substitute, played a one-two with Podolski, before playing a low cross for Giroud to tap-in.

The icing on the cake was added in stoppage time, when Podolski finished brilliantly from the edge of the box.

In other games, Queens Park Rangers were as good as relegated after going down 2-0 to Everton. The Toffees keep their top-four hopes alive with the win, moving to within three points of fourth-placed Chelsea, albeit having played a game more.

Goals from Darron Gibson and Victor Anichebe were more than enough to give Everton all three points at Goodison Park.

At the Madejski, Reading also could not pick up a win, and stayed bottom of the table on 24 points, the same as QPR, following a goalless draw with Liverpool.

Southampton and West Ham drew 1-1, while the same score was evident after 90 minutes at Villa Park, with Aston Villa and Fulham managing a goal each.

Results: Arsenal 0-1 Norwich; Southampton 1-1 West Ham; Everton 2-0 QPR; Reading 0-0 Liverpool; Aston Villa 1-1 Fulham.
