Ben Revere Tapes Boston Marathon Bombing Support Message On Glove Before Making Best Catch Of Year As Phillies Lose To Cincinnati Reds (VIDEO and PHOTO)

Ben Revere made a fantastic catch in the Philadelphia Phillies loss against the Cincinnati Reds on Monday night, but it was hit move earlier in the game that was more important, as he taped a message on his glove supporting the Boston Marathon bombing victims before running out on the field.

According to Yahoo Sports, Revere taped the message "Pray for Boston" on his glove before running out on the field on Monday and that was even before he made the incredible catch. Revere went straight back in the outfield towards the wall and made a leaping grab with just his glove while sliding face first into the warning track, making one reminiscent of the catch Jim Edmonds made in Anaheim years ago. Revere only had his glove to make the catch and no extra hand support and he cleanly caught it and got up to double up Jay Bruce who was on first base after the hit from Todd Frazier.

The catch was easily one of the best of the year and his taped message was one that many around the country felt on Monday after the attack.
