Following Peyton Manning's decision to sign with the Denver Broncos, the team has begun trade talks for popular quarterback Tim Tebow. According to ESPN, "Three teams to monitor as trade talks for Tim Tebow pick up: Jacksonville, Green Bay, San Francisco."
Each of the teams have their own needs at quarterback. The Green Bay Packers lost backup quarterback Matt Flynn to free agency to the Seattle Seahawks. The San Francisco 49ers still have not signed free-agent quarterback Alex Smith. The Jacksonville Jaguars may be looking for quarterback competition for Blaine Gabbert.
If the 49ers re-sign Alex Smith, then the Jaguars would be a team that Tebow could compete for a starting position. In addition, Tebow would be going back to the state of Florida, where he had tremendous success as a college player.
Tebow created a media flurry last year as the starting quarterback for the Denver Broncos, leading the team to the playoffs including a final play touchdown strike in overtime to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers.
