Tim Tebow Mock Draft Rumors: Would Quarterback Get Drafted In First Round In 2013? How Tebow Stacks Up Against Geno Smith, Ryan Nassib and Matt Barkley

Tim Tebow was a first round draft pick by the Denver Broncos and while many thought the team reached for him in that instance, he proved himself worthy by eventually taking the team to the playoffs after winning a division title, but if he was eligible for the draft in 2013 would he go higher than the other prospects?

Tebow was a superstar in college and won two national championships and a Heisman trophy, something that none of the quarterbacks in the current draft can say. While that is not the only thing quarterbacks are judged on in the draft, he does have that advantage over Matt Barkley and Geno Smith, but those two put up amazing numbers over the past couple years, especially Smith, who had 25 touchdowns and zero interceptions at one point early in the season.

While at Florida Tebow put up solid if not amazing numbers, rushing for at least 600 yards over his last three seasons and in 2007 he threw for 3,286 yards and 32 touchdowns before throwing 30 more the following year. He rushed for 23 touchdowns that season as well and had 30 touchdowns passes and 21 over his last two seasons and scored 26 on the ground during that span as well.

Tebow was taken in the second part of the first round and this season a number of quarterbacks are expected to go in the top 10, with names like Barkley, Smith and Ryan Nassib being mentioned along with teams like the Eagles, Cardinals and Bills as well as the Jets. Tebow's best year in the NFL came with the Broncos in 2011 when he passed for 12 touchdowns and over 1,700 yards, but since then he hasn't done much, rushing for 102 yards and adding 39 in the air for the Jets last season.

New York has been trying to trade him all offseason and so far there have been no takers, but that doesn't mean that won't happen down the line and if it doesn't, he will likely be released. Would he be drafted over those top three names? Probably not, but one team would likely take the chance like Denver did a few years ago, maybe it would have been the Jets (wink wink).
