Honey Badger Party Cancelled By Tyrann Mathieu As First Round Pick Targeted By New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings and Bengals

Tyrann Mathieu would have likely been a top 10 pick in Thursday's NFL draft had he not been kicked out of LSU for failing drug tests and now that the event is here the attention is back on him after a flyer surfaced saying he was hosting a first round pick draft party.

According to SI.com, the party has now been cancelled after some backlash from people and Mathieu said that he did not approve of the flyer saying first round draft pick so instead he decided to cancel the event. He said that it was a miscommunication and while it likely won't hurt his draft stock, it was another bad headline for a cornerback that can't really afford one.

Mathieu is considered a first round talent and a number of teams are looking to possibly take him, including the New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Minnesota Vikings and Bengals and more. The draft will give teams a chance to gauge how much cornerbacks will go on Friday and if names like Desmond Trufant and Xavier Rhodes remain after day one, Mathieu may fall further back.
