NBA Playoff Brackets: Predicting 2nd Round Matchups

The 2013 NBA Playoffs' first round series are almost wrapping up for some teams. The Oklahoma City Thunder, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs, New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers have two victories in there series, so they are just two wins away from advancing to the second round of the NBA Playoffs. As the postseason rolls along, who will your team face if they are lucky enough to advance to the second round?

Let's start with the defending champion, Miami Heat.

They have smoked the Milwaukee Bucks in the first two games of the series. LeBron James hasn't played his most dominant basketball. The Heat haven't needed his 35-point barrages like they didn last season. So far, the Heat are spreading the responsibilities and the entire team is collaborating in their wins. Not if, but when the Heat defeat the Bucks, they will face either the Brooklyn Nets or the Chicago Bulls in the second round of the playoffs.

This series is looking complicated. We just found out that if Deron Williams doesn't score, the Bulls have enough of a fight in them, despite their injuries, to defeat the Nets. This series is tied 1-1. The Bulls were the first road team to win in the playoffs.

The 2nd seeded Knicks have trailed at the half against the Boston Celtics and then played phenomenol defense to completely stop the Celtics' attack. The Knicks lead that series 2-0 and look ready to keep it moving beyond the first round of the playoffs. Carmelo Anthony is red hot and the Celtics can't find somebody to stop him.

It looks like it will be the Knicks vs. the Pacers as Indiana has a 2-0 lead over an Atlanta Hawks team that seems to be tanking their playoff run, similar to how the tanked the season to fall to the sixth seed.

Over in the West, while the Thunder are 2-0 on the Houston Rockets, the Clippers are keeping up with their pace as they are also ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies 2-0 in their best of seven series. These two teams would feature two of the games best point guards and forwards in the league. It should be an exciting matchup to watch.

The No. 2 Spurs might have to wait some time to find out who they'll be facing. The Golden State Warriors and the Denver Nuggets are tied 1-1 in that series. The Nuggets possesses the fastbreak and the Warriors have the killer jump shots. When the Warriors start running and hitting fastbreak shots coupled with their amazing perimeter shooting, they are bound to score 130-plus points and that's what they did to the Nuggets on Tuesday.

Here's what the bracket looks like as of today. All teams have played two games in the playoffs.
