Liverpool Forward Hints at Anfield Exit

Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt has revealed his frustration at the number of games he has played this season and said he could be forced to leave the club if he does not feature on a more regular basis next year.

Kuyt, 31, has played just 25 Premier League games in the current campaign, with a large number of those coming as a substitute.

The Dutchman retains faith in Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish's long-term vision for the club but cautioned his team-mates had to start demonstrating their obvious potential in the Premier League.

Kuyt is now looking forward to a second Wembley appearance in the space of six weeks, after he claimed his first piece of silverware as a Liverpool player in the recent Carling Cup victory over Cardiff City.

The former Feyenoord star came off the bench to fire Liverpool into the lead in that match; before he converted his penalty as the Anfield side triumphed on penalties.

"I want to play every game. It is very disappointing when I don't - like the Carling Cup Final for instance," Kuyttold the Daily Mirror

"From my point of view I'm feeling really well physically, I don't think I've ever felt stronger, and I'm ready to play games, I am ready to play every game of the season.

"For me it is all about trying to convince the manager he needs to pick me more than he does at the moment.

"I can see myself staying at Anfield for the rest of my career, as long as I am satisfied and am entitled to play in each game to get to the level I want to be.

"As long as I play as much as I want to play then I will be happy, but if it gets to the point where I am not playing every game anymore, then maybe I will have to make another decision - but I don't think about that at this stage."
