For years now New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has had high praised for quarterback Tim Tebow, and now with his recent release from the New York Jets on Monday, questions have begun to circulate about how realistic would it be that the two join forces in the future.
According to Pro Sports Daily, sources close to the situation have remained quiet when questioned about any possible interest between the Patriots and Tebow, despite Belichick's admiration for Tebow being well-documented even before the 2010 NFL draft, when the beloved quarterback visited Gillette Stadium.
Belichick spoke highly of Tebow and has remained to have great insight dating back to Tebow's days has the Florida Gators starter, where he was coached by Urban Meyer, one of Belichick's trusted friends and business partners.
There's also the connection Tebow has with new Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, who traded three draft picks in order to select Tebow in the first round when he was coach of the Denevr Broncos. Since returning to the Patriots, McDaniels has remained to have much input in personnel decisions and with his input he could conceivably make a play on Tebow to land him during free agency.
Noticeable moves McDaniels had input on were the trade for wide receiver Greg Salas, the signing of Brandon Llyod and grabbing tight end Michael Hommanawanui from the Washington Redskins practice squad.
