Danica Patrick is preparing for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Talladega this weekend, but that didn't stop her from dropping by the Chicago Blackhawks-Minnesota Wild Game 1 in the NHL playoffs at the United Center, where she took part in one of the arena traditions in the "Shoot the Puck" contest.
According to Yahoo Sports, Patrick, who is from Roscoe, Illinois, took part in the contests that asks contestants to shoot in a puck into the goal from far down the ice and Patrick nailed it on her first shot. Patrick was wearing a jersey with her name on the back and after advancing to the finals she put her shot to the side, but the first one was the important one and she connected. Patrick made it look easy on her first try from center ice, putting the shot in through one of the three openings on the net.
Patrick will be at the Sprint Cup Series start at Talladega for the first time and she could have a repeat of her pole win at Daytona and could finish in the top 10 again after a few tough races. She did well at Daytona, which is also a restrictor plate track and after leading a number of laps, she became the first woman to finish in the top 10 with an eighth place result.
